Last December, a German film crew was at Mr. Armstrong’s World Economic Conference beginning to film for the movie called The Oracle about Martin Armstrong, his ordeal with the American Government, his time in jail, and his Economic theories and solutions. Link is to the trailer (9 min). It is coming soon.

  1. GG,

I remember you said that you went to the conference … did you make the trailer? What do you remember most about the conference?

  2. There were very few women at the conference, not surprising. Didn’t see groovygirl in the trailer čÖé

What I remember most about the conference: we are past the point of no return. MF Global, as a game-changer, was a big topic of conversation. Fundamentals are out the window, we are now in a complete confidence game, in markets, in trading, in basic financial systems, in currency, in governments. Capital will flow where it has confidence and there is a cycle to measure that movement. (Which may change daily in the debt crisis and be highly affected by government policies, but the government has no plan beyond monetizing more debt). The sharks will eat the rest.

    We are on our own.

  3. Hi gg, i attended as well and follow many of the ‘insiders’ who seem to have known this economic climate was coming. i have protected my clients and been in gold and gold miners predominately. This august/september time frame and a panic cycle? I suspect it relates to negative downside on ALL markets..any thoughts on your end to what may be affected…i’m considering a move of all cliens assets to money market or short term canadian gov bonds until it moves past us….your thoughts…..

  4. Duffy,

I agree that the coming panic cycle could affect all markets. But as far as where to put it, I don’t have a suggestion.

  5. My comment is that Armstrong would say that all money flees to safe investments. The question is whether Canadian govt bonds and money markets are really safe when the tidal wave hits the US.
