Metropolis (1927)

This movie is timeless, because it captures in symbol, not language, the trying times of the modern age and the class divide of the worker vs. the owner.

Groovygirl was beside herself with glee when she heard that almost a complete version of this movie was found in South America. Parts we thought were lost forever were gathered and restored.
