  1. We live in interesting times. I do spend a good amount of time enjoying life, but also contemplating what the future holds for those of us in the United States. I seriously doubt a “Mad Max” world in the United States. However, I do expect rioting, huge transitions in government and socialeconomic turmoil as we transition from West to East. In 2032 (THE date in Armstrong’s ECM model) I’ll be 70 years old. I’ll hopefully still be here and doing the Lord’s work. I think I’ll be able to look back in life and say that I lived at the economic and world political power peak of the United States. I’ll also will have seen the beginning and latter stages of it’s downfall (I’m already seeing the cracks in the dam now). Personally I know how to live with NO money, little money and a lot of money. What I’ve found in life is that what matters is serving God, enjoying family, friends and looking forward to each new day.

With regards to preparing for the transition, I think it’s best to live humbly, be debt free, have a bit of savings and have lots of friends who know how to do things (fix cars, garden, fix the electric, nurse, etc.). I don’t expect Social Security to be around. I expect that any of my pension will be completely wiped out by the market. I’ll probably still be working at 70, but that’s OK. I don’t like sitting around in my home anyhow! I try to eat right, exercise regulalry and remain positive. That last part is hard sometimes, especially knowing what is coming, but by the Grace of God, we’ll make it through.
