Click here for Martin Armstrong’s latest blog post entitled Gold-Dow and War dated August 28, 2013. he comments on short-term gold and Dow.

From link above:

Gold has rallied up to the key resistance level. We now need a weekly closing above the 1423 level before we go further on any sustained basis. The Daily Bullish Reversals are 144500, 146200, and 147730. The Daily Bearish now lies at 135400 so watch that level below.

Highlights this Friday Morning

Gold is slammed under $1400  in overnight trading. Read this and this and this from Jesse for some thoughts on why. Lots of pressure out there.

Latest from John Williams from shadowstats.com.:

– GDP Revision Reflected Previously Discussed Trade-Flow Distortions
– Well Removed from Real-World Activity, GDP Numbers Remain Nonsensical; There Never Was a Recovery and There Is None Pending
– With Consumer Liquidity Issues Deepening, Broad U.S. Economic Activity Is in Renewed Contraction
– Fed Pullback on QE3 Remains Unlikely, Amidst Suggestions of Intensifying Banking-System Stress

And from Sovereign Man, via zerohedge, about what the Syrian Crisis might be providing a “distraction” for. Click here.  Interesting that Britain and France’s formally elected officials are not for intervention. Wonder if Obama has the clout with the American people to move forward “alone”.

Gold trading above $1400 today

Filed under: Gold and Silver Investing, Precious metals — totallygroovygirlfriday @ 5:57 pm

Click here for Jesse’s comments from Cafe Americain. Very important long term thoughts on gold!

From Jesse:

This is about much more than gold and silver. This is about a major, an historic change in the composition of the world’s global currencies and trading system. The dollar regime that has been in place since the end of World War II is undergoing a major change.

If there is anything that shocks me, it is how few economists understand it, or even realize it. I suppose that is how it is when the big things occur. Most of the operational people are left staring at the old paradigms, and wondering why their models are malfunctioning.

The national debts are increasingly more and more short-term and that introduces volatility like we have never seen in more than 50 years.

Click here for Martin Armstrong’s latest blog post entitled NSA Paid Microsoft and Other to Circumvent the Courts-This is Now Criminal dated August 25, 2013.

Very serious and MSM seems to be slow to report this latest release of news (as Syria is the news of the day and the NSA’s love affairs). MSM can not ignore these ongoing releases of criminal activity that just get worse and worse. They better put together some major propaganda, because, as we know from the Arab Spring, black outs don’t work in a twitter world. It must be time for a major distraction. Popcorn anyone?

gg’s favorite scene from Queen Christina. Although you can not tell from this scene, the costumes in this movie (designed by Adrian, of course) are fabulous!

Wow, gold finished nicely this week

Filed under: Gold and Silver Investing, Precious metals — totallygroovygirlfriday @ 9:33 am

But, still on confirmation on a change in trend. Sure looks good though.

Here is Jesse’s comments over at Cafe Americian. Click here.

groovygirl just doesn’t know what to think about that low in physical at the COMEX and the $100 jump in price lately. Be cautious, it’s options expiration next week, We should have a better idea if this is a confirmed change in trend (at least through the end of the year) or not by late next week.

If anything, this is interesting to watch. Popcorn?

Side musing: Latest rumor is a planned missile attack on Syria by US. Just rumors, but middle eastern conflict could change anything in the markets. CBS doesn’t leak stuff, unless it was planned that way. It’s not like they are independent reporting organization or anything….

About the “leak” in Japan

Filed under: Odds 'n ends — totallygroovygirlfriday @ 2:53 pm

I don’t know if you have been paying attention, but apparently the “leak” in Japan is so severe and dire that MSM has to mention it.

The storage tanks are leaking into water table and surrounding areas, not just dumping into sea. The “stuff” that is leaking is apparently extremely potent and is NOT containable.

The radioactivity of the water in the most recent leak was so high that workers couldn’t get close enough to search for the cause until the remaining fluid in the tank was removed.

Not good.
